Triangle North Healthcare Foundation Launches Two Scholarships Programs for 2026
Triangle North Healthcare Foundation (TNHF) has established a scholarship program to help North Carolina high school students in the TNHF region attend college. The Mission of Triangle North Healthcare Foundation is to encourage, support, and invest in quality efforts that measurably improve health in the Triangle North region (Franklin, Granville, Vance, and Warren counties.) TNHF is seeking students whose academic plans support the Foundation’s vision: to live in a healthy community.
The TNHF Scholarship Committee will select one individual from each county to receive a $4,000 scholarship. Preference will be given to students who plan to major in a health-related field, but educational goals must match the mission & vision of TNHF. Applications will be accepted starting April 1, 2026 and the deadline will be May 1, 2026.
Student Qualifications :
- Applicant must have a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5.
- Preference will be given to applicants planning to pursue a career in a health-related field, but education goals must match the vison/mission of TNHF.
- Applicant must be a resident of Franklin, Granville, Vance, or Warren county.
- Applicant must be accepted into an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. Does not have to be an NC school.
- Applicant must provide a copy of college acceptance letter.
Review Process
TNHF Scholarship Committee will select one applicant from each county (from the pool provided by the schools) to receive the scholarship. Selections will be announced by TNHF in June.
If you are currently working in a health related field and continuing your education, contact your advisor at Vance Granville Community College to make an application for scholarship.
Scholarship Criteria:
-Currently employed part time or full time in a health-related position
-Currently enrolled in a health-related degree program pursuing an associate degree or higher
-A minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5.
-Preference will be given to applicants living and working in Franklin, Granville, Vance, or Warren counties.
2026 Scholarship Award Announcement
Triangle North Healthcare Foundation’s Board of Directors has awarded four $4,000 scholarships to high school graduates from the four-county region.
The scholarship program was launched in May with invitations to all of the high schools in the region for students to apply. Students were required to have a minimum GPA of 2.5 with plans to pursue careers in health care. From those student applicants, one scholar per county was selected to receive the $4,000 scholarship.
Scholarship awards were presented to:
-Ann Sheteiwy, graduate of Franklin County Early College, Franklin County Resident, will attend UNC Chapel Hill and major in Human Development and Family Science and Community and Global Public Health
-Wyatt Besaw, graduate of South Granville High School, Granville County Resident, will attend Western Carolina University and major in Emergency Medical Care.
-Aliza Brooks, graduate of Vance Charter School, Vance County Resident, will attend Barton Nursing Program, majoring in Nursing.
-Haley Reese, graduate of Brunswick Academy, Warren County Resident, will attend NC State, majoring in Speech and Language Pathology. .
