Pictured above are representatives of Granville County Cooperative Extension at the Oxford Armory Farmers Market. Granville County Cooperative Extension is a recipient of a Strategic Small grant for the Farm to Fridge Program. This program allows community members in need to go to their local library and get donated nutritious food. Food is provided by local groceries stores, the food bank, churches, and other sources of excess food.
Community organizations Carolina Fellows Dentistry, Schmitt Orthodontists, Green Rural Redevelopment, Oasis of Hope Ministries and Turning Point CDC were on hand to provide information.
Congratulations to the 17 area nonprofit organizations who received TNHF grant funding for seventeen projects for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

North Carolina MedAssist brought their Mobile Free Pharmacy to Warren County on May 30. 828 individuals were served! A Warren County record! Participants received free over-the-counter medications, totaling $100. The Warren County Health Department partnered with event.
Through a TNHF Strategic Small Grant, the Warren CountyFarmers Market offers the Double Up Food Bucks program to Supplemental Nutrition Program (SNAP) individuals, Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) participants, and Women & Infant Farmers Nutritional Program (WIC-FMNP) members.
The program addresses food insecurities within the Warren County community.
Approximately 60 individuals attended the 2nd annual Tennis & Dentist event coordinated by Edmonds Tennis & Education Foundation on Saturday, May 31 at Fox Pond Park. Participants enjoyed free tennis lessons and learned about good oral hygiene.
Remote Area Medical Clinic Returns April 10-12, 2026
The two-day Remote Area Medical Clinic will return to Vance Charter School April 10-12, 2026. The two-day clinic is open to all and provides no cost medical, dental, and vision care services. Spearheaded by undergraduate pre-med students at Duke University, the clinic brings volunteers, medical professionals, equipment, and supplies to Vance Charter School to provide the no cost services. Since 2022, the RAM Clinic has served 1,020 unique patients providing over $926,000 in free medical care. Services include, same day, dental care including tooth/cavity fillings, tooth extractions, and restorative oral surgeries. Medical care includes physical exams, hemoglobin A1/Cs, pap smears, lipid panels, women’s health exams, and breast exams. Eye care services include eye exams and prescription eyeglasses, which are made on site.
